THE CONNECTICUT ASSOCIATION OF BLIND STUDENTS (CTABS)
THE STUDENT DIVISION OF THE NATIONAL FEDERATION OF THE BLIND OF CONNECTICUT (NFBCT) AND PART OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BLIND STUDENTS (NABS)
We gather twice per month for conference calls and have an annual, face-to-face business meeting at the National Federation of the Blind of Connecticut State Convention.
Two Monthly Conference Calls
On the second Wednesday of each month, at 9:05 PM ET, the Connecticut Association of Blind Students meets to strengthen our personal philosophies about blindness. These discussion-based calls center on a particular question or idea and often reference National Federation of the Blind banquet speeches. They are modeled after the Seminar classes atBLIND, Inc., the Colorado Center for the Blind, and the Louisiana Center for the Blind.
On the fourth Wednesday of each month, at 9:05 PM ET, the Connecticut Association of Blind Students meets to conduct business. We plan future activities, welcome new members, and assess the implementation of our initiatives.
